Navigating Money Laws
Doesn't Have to Be Confusing

After spending three years sorting through confusing financial regulations and making plenty of mistakes along the way, I decided to document everything I learned. This isn't legal advice — it's one person's journey through the maze of tipping customs, tax obligations, and banking rules.

Why I Started This Guide

Let me be honest with you — I started this project after an embarrassing incident at a restaurant in Miami. I had just moved from the UK and had no idea that the 15% tip I left was considered insulting by American standards. The server actually followed me outside to ask if something was wrong with the food.

That moment stuck with me. I realized that financial etiquette and regulations vary wildly, and there's no single resource that explains it all in plain English. So I spent the last two years researching, interviewing accountants, reading through actual legislation, and yes — making more mistakes so you don't have to.

Everything you'll find here comes from real experience, backed by official sources. No corporate speak, no sponsored content. Just straight talk about money stuff.
